AAA Blog Post on HASTAC

I've just made my first blog post to HASTAC:Humanities, Arts, Science and Technology Advanced Collaboratory, a sponsored project of the University of Southern California Annenberg Center for Communication. You can view it here. It's (kinda) a review of 4 AAA panels on the intersection of ethnography, digital information technology and the digital information technology industry. Enjoy!

Thanks for posting. That was an interesting account of AAA and I followed the link to your paper and it looks terrific. Do you do work with technologies other than photography? Any new media work?

Thanks, Cathy

You're welcome and thank you. I work with video as well as photography, I don't have any new media work. I'm in the process of applying for graduate school right now and envision a project coming out of my research there. I have a lot of ideas and some technical abilities, with the capability to learn more, as well as resources (techie friends) to help make my ideas reality. I hope to launch a website at the end of summer which documents the clinical treatment program, a school for kids with ADHD, where I'm working right now. Until then, stay tuned . . .

Cathy, I should have mentioned that although I'm not working with any new media, I've been studying the practice of online social networking as creation and maintenance of identity and community.
